Gwyneth has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes!

Gwyneth is a little smidge of a dog at just 8.5 pounds. She and 8 friends were neglected breeding dogs that ended up at a shelter in Texas. Gwyn, estimated around 3 to 5 years old, is wary about new things and new situations, but is learning to trust. She loves to be in a lap, but she also needs to be given the chance to experience the world slowly. She is working on house training, after living in a cage in her former life. She definitely needs a canine sibling in her new home, and could also live with a cat that won't torment her. She LOVES to snuggle with her person. She will sleep all night under the covers without moving an inch! Gwyn is looking for a person to devote herself to completely. Is that you? Please see more pictures of Gwyn, and her Rockport buddy, Blythe. Or you can check out the rest of the Rockport Nine, who are in fosterhomes throughout the country.

  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Toy Fox Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Toy Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in of paves the way for another one to be saved.
