Holly's Story...

This dog's fosterhome is located in: ****Winston Salem, North Carolina**** Holly was so terrified in the shelter that the staff thought she was unadoptable.  But one of our ResQ foster parents looked into those pleading brown eyes and made room for her, just in the nick of time.  She made a long journey from Arkansas to her foster home in North Carolina in the middle of an ice storm.  Holly is grateful for a second chance!  She is 2 years old and weighs 11 pounds and is 12 inches tall, with a docked tail.  She is not terrified any longer, she is playful and very loving to her foster family.  Holly is cautious of strangers, but when she realizes that she is safe in your lap, she will camp out for hours!  Holly plays very well with the 7 and 9 year-old human children in her foster home, but is afraid of the fast movements of the five year-old son, so an adoptive home with older children would be best.  She is house trained and sleeps through the night in her crate, just like a good girl!  Holly loves to ride in the car, and her fur-ever home would be one with lots of attention, play, and lots of lap time!  At 11 pounds, she is the perfect size for a lap buddy!  Her beautiful big brown eyes will truly warm your heart!  For more photos of Holly and her foster family, click here:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly, a of Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in of, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in of.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in of already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a of breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in of paves the way for another one to be saved.
