Violet's Story...
“Violet” is the delicate beauty of her litter. With beautiful bright eyes, a pretty pink nose, and a white blaze up her face, she is one cutie! Being a calico, she has personality to boot. Although she seems dainty and may be a little reserved in new environments, she warms up to show an endearingly stubborn nature. And if she’s anything like her mama (who she’s the spitting image of), she’ll be a purring, lovey-dovey kitty. "Violet" and her littermates had eye infections when they were only 2 weeks old, so Violet occasionally has a small amount of discharge from her nose and eyes. Otherwise she’s a healthy, frisky 10-week-old kitten (born 4/23/08). Violet is weaned, litterbox trained, dewormed, spayed, microchipped, FeLV tested and up-to-date on her FVRCP vaccines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Violet, a Davis Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
