Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Dahlia! She is a very sweet dog and we estimate her age to be about 9-10 months old. She is only about 60 pounds. Has been spayed and microchipped. Updated on her shots. She is working on settling in but is shy and will quickly stop what she is doing once you tell her "No" in an assertive voice. She is also cat friendly and that is rare for a dog that has this much shepherd in her. Loves her belly rubbed. She loves cuddles and has been sleeping with my daughter on the futon but will also sleep on the floor. She is very skittish of loud noises and sudden movements but we are working on that. Her cough is getting a little better with the meds we have for her. She does walk well on a leash. When we are leaving the house, she needs some reassurance and coaxing but will work to keep up with you. On the way back to the house she is excited and can't wait to get back. She is very sweet. We have not had any accidents in the house but then again, we do take her out about every 3-4 hours with the exception of nighttime. She not a fan of the crate and will howl and whine to get out so we abandoned that idea.
Dahlia is a sweet girl who would be a great companion in a calm household with older kids.
Dahlia's adoption donation is $375. She is vetted and up to date on her shots and is microchipped. Love A Mutt Pet Rescue is a 501c3 rescue and all monies go to help other dogs in need.
Thank you for adopting a rescue!
