Rosie's Story...
This gorgeous little lady is Rosie, a 5 month old tiger/torti kitten that is hoping to get scooped up and whisked off to a great home of her own real soon. Rosie came to us as a stray in early Fall, and she was quite shy and scared. Our cat caretaker fostered her to help get her used to people and bring her out of her shell and we learned quite a bit about this tiny girl with the big personality! Rosie absolutely loves other cats to the point that she almost likes them more than she does people, so we are seeking a home for her where she will have some feline friends. She actually does love people too, and she is happy to cuddle up with you and play with you, but she will let you know when she's had enough and wants to go off on her own with a toy in tow. Rosie is full of life and energy, and this bubbly girl would love a home where she will get to play, have fun, and curl up with you at night on a comfy couch. If you can offer Rosie the lifetime of happiness that she deserves, please come in and meet this pretty girl. File#25615 10/8/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
