My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kobi! One of the recently-arrived, very shy K pups, who were dumped in a rancher’s corral in rural Colorado, Kobi is really starting to blossom! Kobi is a wide-eyed, happy and frisky 5 month old pup ready to play all day, explore the world, play with the family pets and enjoy being loved on by his family.

While initially shy, Kobi loves meeting new people and any form of loving attention - be it a scratch behind the ears or a good belly rub. This happy lad is definitely enjoys the company of other canines, looooves to play with other dogs, and would do best in a home with other dogs or a family that is home most of the day. Kobi is curious but friendly with the family cats and will try to get them to play with him, and as a puppy, he will chase them if they run. He’s quite a goofball- when he falls asleep on his back, one of his paws will fall into his mouth, and he'll start gently chewing on it. Ah, puppies! Yes Kobi is full of puppy energy and needs a really good daily dose of vigorous exercise.

His foster family thinks he may not have seen the inside of a house before, as he was initially very reluctant to come inside. Now, he loves his crate and the security of a warm home. He was not house trained before arrival, but after only two weeks this smart boy is figuring it out. Except for the occasional accident, Kobi ‘goes’ outside, and he can now make it most of the night too. Kobi is working on leash training and ‘sit’. He’ll do about anything for a treat so this training is going well! His new family will need to continue his basic obedience training, as well as socializing him thoughtfully so he gains confidence and learns that the big bright world is fun fun fun!

All in all Kobi is a sweet and forgiving pup who will make a fabulous family companion to adopters who have time and energy to devote to puppy raising! If you are looking for a pup with a good disposition, and a lot of love to give, Kobi may be the one for you.

Kobi is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and living in a loving foster home near Fort Collins, CO.
