Samson's Story...
Fear not, forever family, for I, Samson, am the dog you have been searching for! I will arise and be the victor of your heart with whatever life can throw at us—I have already overcome so much! As your canine defender I will hold your heart with great care and keep it safe from those who seek to tarnish our love! In me you have a dog who will be loyal yet goofy, be good with your respectful children 8+, and rise above the petty canine/feline differences of the past. I am housebroken, ride well in the car, and have been crate trained already—gosh, I would love to show you the extent of my knowledge. I am a friend to other dogs and would love to escort you on strolls around the park. I walk well on a leash, and I like to take my time and observe the world. I will be the envy of your friends. They will ask “How did you come across such a wonderful family friend?” and you will tell them, “By FDNL and destiny!” 5 years old-58lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samson, a Portland Shar Pei/Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Doberman Pinscher for sale in Portland, or seeking a Shar Pei/Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Shar Pei/Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
