My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wilson: ~7-year-old male black Lab 70 lbs

56 days in a shelter! This resilient guy survived abandonment by his owner only to languish for nearly two months in a county shelter. He was finally busted out of the shelter by lab rescue, and Wilson is now one very happy, happy dog.

What Wilson’s Rescue Rep says:

We currently have Wilson at our boarding facility in Petaluma and the owner who use to rain dogs for Guide Dogs – loves Wilson! She describes him as sweet mellow in his kennel. He is great with other dogs and gets to play in groups during the day. She thinks he is a dog that would be fine with cats and kids. Don’t let his grey muzzle fool you – he can be quite active when you engage him. He have such a wonderful sweet personality and loves, loves to chase and play fetch with a ball. He loves to go for car rides and he will settle down in the car or sit and look out the window! We have been working with Wilson on his leash manners but he could still use a refresher course on this but really wants to please! He will take treats gently from your hand and will drop the ball for you so you can throw it again. Wilson will make a wonderful addition to your family.

Wilson is a very healthy boy and he is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. He will be spending the holidays in San Jose.

If you are interested in a really sweet boy named Wilson, call Rescue Rep Liz, 415-613-6374 or email liz@jobshopsf.com.

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
