My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BEAUREGARD (Beau)
1 year old, Male, orange Persian

Mighty Lion seeks home!! My name is "General" Beauregard ! That has nothing to do with being a lion, but you could call me General, which has the proper gravitas for a Lion name. Right now they call me Beau because I am soft and cuddly. You must completely disregard the fact that I have a tiny pink nose and tongue that sticks out most of the time, that I am 1 year old, and that I only weigh in at 7 lbs 4oz, and that I have lovely, soft, gold eyes. My purr alone should generate fear amongst
mere mortals and keep you safe! My demands are few.... a soft lap, cuddles, chin scratches, belly rubs, lots of toys, and other fur friends to play with...oh, and did I mention brushing? Lots and lots of brushing, please, and kisses and head bumps. OK. So that does sound like rather a lot but I am a Mighty Lion and Persian after all ! Mom says I am gorgeous and will soon grow into being a real Lion.

In exchange for my demands, I will purr, cuddle, follow you everywhere you go, help with whatever you are doing, chat with you, play with everything, and, of course, sleep with you. I will lie on your lap and purr while I am brushed and combed. ( I love my floofy fur to be really floofy.) I do not know whether or not I like children. If they are respectful and very gentle then probably I will, but I really am frightened of dogs. I am far too little. Even my roar does not make me feel safe and I cry to be protected and held.

My gorgeous orange fur is not at its best at the moment. I had some very serious mats that had to be cut to be removed and now they say I look like a stuffed toy. Can you imagine? How insulting! Mom had them leave my beautiful, floofy tail alone so you can see just how lovely I will be, and I have a white plume at the very tip of my tail.

No one really knows much about my background. They say that I am a 'stray,' I do think that is human talk for the day that I was found out scouting the fields in Martinez. That was fun, but I caught a bad cold during the really cold nights and there was no one to hold me. Medicine made me better and now I run and play and feel terrific !

So bottom line here: I am a lovely, orange Lion seeking experienced Persian family for lots of play and love. Mom says to tell you that I like both wet and dry food and that I am absolutely litter box perfect.
