Bart's Story...
This little guy is soft and furry and S-W-E-E-T He gets along with everyone and all dogs, big and small or male and female! He is not a barker but is a bit of a talker. He weighs about 12 pounds and is 3 years old. Before coming to the rescue he lived his entire life with an elderly man whose health no longer allowed him to take care of his dogs. All of his dogs have now been rehomed except for Bart. The best was saved for last! He is a bit shy at first, but quickly warms up to cuddles and kisses!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bart, a Ridgecrest Pomeranian/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Dachshund for sale in Ridgecrest, or seeking a Pomeranian/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Ridgecrest.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgecrest already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgecrest breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Dachshund breeders who help with Pomeranian/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgecrest paves the way for another one to be saved.
