Meet Patches Marie, a 6 1/2 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler.
She is a medium size dog weighing approximately 47 pounds who had been treated and recovered from for mange and pneumonia after being taken in by a local shelter. She has some specific allergies that has been thoroughly tested for and she will need ongoing medication to keep that under control to keep her comfortable. Now that she is all healthy and happy and all her beautiful fur has grown back, Patches is looking for that wonderful forever home that she deserves!
Patches foster mom says she is a character and she is an all around sweet girl. She currently lives with 4 resident dogs and gets along with all of them. She is housebroken, crate trained, and a total snuggle-bug. She leans in for hugs and will hug you back. She is even an artist. The picture that she painted is posted for everyone to see!
She loves to vocalize, talking to you or the dogs or the people outside! Because of her herding tendencies we don't recommend a home with cats or small children. She can be an assertive player and can be pushy with other dogs. However the other dogs at foster mom's home have learned to ignore her and she's fine with that.
She just need a home where she can get regular exercise, and of course lots of love!!
