Ollie's Story...
Ollie is an adorable 4 year old male Shih Tzu who lost his home because his owner became too sick to care for him any longer. If you want a companion, Ollie is the one for you.

He is a very friendly and affectionate pooch, but not a pest. He's gentle, calm and gets along well with other dogs. Ollie is super friendly and will sit beside you while you watch TV, rides in the passenger seat of the car, and sleeps at the foot of the bed every night. This little fellow is about as perfect as they get! Oh, and did we mention that he is housebroken, too? His easygoing demeanor will make him a hit anywhere.

His hair has been cut short but it will grow back thick and long. He is white with dark gray on his head and brown patches on his back. His color patterning is very unusual.

Ollie has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00.

If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please write us at and ask for an application to adopt. We are a foster-home based organization, and the adoption process starts when you submit your application. Once that has been approved, we can schedule a time for you to meet Ollie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ollie, a Atlanta Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
