My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You will fall in love with Amelia! She's as sweet as they come. Amelia was found in an abandoned house and was supposedly there to guard against intruders. If Amelia would have encountered any intruders she would have licked them to death. Amelia is an absolute favorite of the volunteers and staff. Her endearing personality will certainly tug at your heart strings. Amelia was then adopted and returned. She did not like the cat in the family. Her family said she was a lovable cuddler, enjoyed car rides, and liked to sleep by her owner's feet. Amelia just needed a home without cats. Upon her return Amelia was not getting adopted so she was selected to be a Prison Dog. She graduated from the prison program and was adopted again by a young couple that lived in an apartment and refused to continue with her training. They finally brought her back saying she was not the dog for them. Amelia is back again hoping the third time is the charm. She would do best in a home with older children and NO cats. She's only 2 years old and would love an active family with a fenced in backyard to run and play. She really is a good girl! Amelia recently was selected to represent Friendship at a local nursing home. She visited with all the seniors and loved all the attention and being petted. She was the perfect lady during her time their and traveling in the car.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
