Keera's Story...
Keera is approximately 2 years old and a Boarder Collie/Labrador retriever mix. She has a shiny wavy coat and easy going temperament. She is chipped, up to date on vaccinations and ready to start a new life Keera has had some training in the past but needs someone to work with her daily so she can be the best she can be. She sports an exuberance for life that's sure to make you smile; she's eager to please, makes nice eye contact and will work for treats. She's good on lead after she's worn off some energy and is reminded of who's walking whom. Keera is great with her feet, body, teeth, ears & tail being handled, takes treats gently and has a soft mouth so should do well around children of all ages but may be a bit for the younger ones if not watched closely. She's reported as house and kennel trained, seems interested in the other dogs, likes some toys and knows to sit. Keera would look fantastic with a big red bow next to your Christmas tree so please come meet her today, 7 days a week 11 am till 4 pm.

If you want to apply for Keera click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Valley Humane Society. Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keera, a Meridian Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
