Bonnie's Story...
Hi! My name is Bonnie and do I have a story to tell you....I was a stray (about 2 years old is the guess) and a nice lady brought me to Barely Used Pets to save me. Everyone kept looking at me and thought that maybe I had already had babies. I kept trying to tell them..."No...they're inside me!" But you know people...they need verification. So off to the clinic I went...lol...and back I came! I had babies inside and Barely Used Pets decided that they would keep me and let me have my babies. Well, I did....3 babies! But wait...Lovey had a baby that she couldn't take care of and they brought this little one to me. I cleaned her and gave her milk along with my babies...so I kind of adopted her. They have all been awesome, but it's time for me to get spayed and find my forever home. I am a very good girl and I've been through so much. Won't you please take me home and love on me? That's all I really need...and a little rug by the sofa to snuggle on!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Urbana Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Urbana, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Urbana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Urbana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Urbana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Urbana paves the way for another one to be saved.
