Tux's Story...

Featured on Good 4 Utah Midday!

Big is beautiful, but bigger is better. This amiable and affectionate gentle giant, with the shining eyes and smiling mouth, is 90 pounds of endearing teddy bear energy and enthusiasm. At 1½ years of age, terrific Tux has the playfulness of a puppy with all the sweetness and silliness that entails. He gets along with all dogs, ignores the cats, birds and bees, while the activities he loves most are swimming (he even has webbed feet) and car rides with his large, noble head poking out of the sunroof. A favorite of every person he meets, able to melt hearts at a hundred yards, tender Tux is eager to be the best buddy ever in an active, adventurous and loving forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tux, a Spanish Fork Border Collie/Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Akita for sale in Spanish Fork, or seeking a Border Collie/Akita dog from a breeder in Spanish Fork.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spanish Fork already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spanish Fork breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Akita breeders who help with Border Collie/Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spanish Fork paves the way for another one to be saved.
