My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY LISTING - This dog is not in foster care with BAPBR and we make no guarantees about his/her health or temperament. We are providing a service to the Del Norte County Animal Shelter to help with adoption. If you are interested in adopting this dog please contact the shelter directly - their info is below.

Kirby the Kutie! Kirby is an 11-month old Australian Shephard/Cattle dog mix from Del Norte Animal Shelter. He arrived as a stray, but had physical traces in the neck area that led staff to believe he was tied up at one point. He doesn’t have any medical issues and seems to be a good candidate for another canine friend, but he is VERY high energy. Because of this, we recommend that he goes home to a family with kids over the age of 12 as the older crowd will be able to deal with his energy better than the little ones! Kirby is ready to spring, hop, and jump his way into your heart if only you find it in you to open your home to him as he needs a lifetime of love, exercise, and proper care. Kirby can’t wait to meet you soon!

Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a small coastal town on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t always come outside to play -- so we want you to see some of their really great dogs that they have up for adoption -- it's only a short 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new family member!

Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Address: 2650 Washington Blvd - Crescent City, CA 95531

Shelter phone: (707) 464-7235
