Galahad's Info...

Galahad's Story...
Lo! Good morrow fair ladies and valiant knights. It is I, Sir Galahad, the brave and true. I have come across this strange kingdom known as the SPCA along my quest to find a loving forever home. Such wonders have I been introduced to here! For the first time in my life I have experienced toys, beds, and delicious treats. What a marvelous world! But, if I am being honest as any good knight should, all of these new experiences have proven quite overwhelming for me. As such, I humbly request that my new home be one with older children only (12+). Indeed, when I first arrived I was quite unsure, and you may notice that I seem a bit nervous when we first meet. But have no fear, I am gallantly facing this new world and have come such a long way already. I especially seem to gain courage when around other playful dogs. If you have a dog you think might make a perfect companion for me, just talk to the SPCA about setting up a meet and greet once your application is approved. Alas, it has verily been a long journey, but I think my quest will soon be coming to a close. All I need now is someone to guide me to the home where I belong. So, are you the hero this pure-hearted knight has been so patiently awaiting? If you think I'm destined to be a part of your family, join me for a walk today and find out.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Galahad, a Harrisonburg Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
