Summer's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Summer's Story...
I am not sure why I am named Summer, but I think it is because I am the best, just like summer. I am a 4 year old lab/newfie. I love people and playing fetch, that's the lab in me. I adore people of all ages and would love to have a family of my own again. I was brought in because I did not always get along with the other dog, sorry but I want you to notice me and just me. The perfect home is one that exercises me, gives me treats, and lets me sleep in their bedroom. I am crossing my paws hoping for a new home before 2016.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Summer, a Springfield Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
