Madam Butterfly (Spayed)'s Story...
"Madam Butterfly" is a sweet 8-year old female Chinese Crested who arrived at the HSOV on December 21, 2015 after a Good Samaritan found her and her companion (Suzuki) in the vicinity of the Mound Cemetery in Marietta Ohio and brought them to the safety of our shelter. They were both wearing collars and "Madam Butterfly" was wearing a cute sweater, so we know that someone must be missing their beloved pets~ "Madam Butterfly" has a white-and-gray short smooth coat, a long tail, and a classic Chinese Crested face with large 'butterfly' ears. She is a sweet girl with a loving, affectionate personalty. She is the larger of the two girls and weighs approximately 12 lbs. "Madam Butterfly" will be available for adoption on December 24, 2015 in the unlikely event that she is not reclaimed. She was spayed on December 28, 2015 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Madam Butterfly (Spayed), a Marietta Chinese Crested dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinese Crested for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Chinese Crested dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinese Crested breeders who help with Chinese Crested rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
