My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Helen is a senior girl that was dumped at the dog pound skin and bones with fly bites on the tips of her ears. We don't know what her life wasl like in the past but we know we are going to make sure she is happy and loved in the future. She has a couple of quirks that come with old age, she seems to startle easily so we don't know if she is loosing her hearing or not. She is living with 4 other dogs right now but would probably do best in a home all her own or with one other older dog (more time for individual spoiling) Helen is a senior Fox Terrier Chihuahua mix. Her foster Mom had a DNA test done on her so we know that for sure. She was rescued in the nick of time when she was dumped at the pound by an uncaring owner. Being older she does have some potty accidents but we fell she is doing great for her age. She has also gone from pacing to relaxing and feeling safe. She may have limited hearing but does know when the treat bag is opened!! She would love a home to rest her weary body where she will be loved in her senior years, not thrown away. Can this home be yours?

Note that in most cases the breed determinations are just an educated guess. Because these are rescued dogs we don't usually know who the parents are. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE A LIFETIME COMMITMENT TO THIS PET. Research the breed to see if it's a good family fit. If interested in this animal please email me and I will send you an application. A vet reference and home visit are required. All animals are vet checked and up to date on all vaccines. Adoption fees range from $150.00-$300.00 and we do offer half price senior to senior adoptions. Spay/neuter deposits are required for all puppies and kittens. Older cats and dogs are spayed and neutered before adoption. Please check our pet list to see more animals up for adoption.
