Emily is a beautiful, 2 year old, long hair female Maine Coon mix cat.  Her personality is extremely shy, cautious, and defensive when she first meets you.  She has been in foster care for 2 years and is looking for her forever home.  It will take an adopter with patience to win over her affections, probably over several months, but once done your reward will be a lap cat who purrs for all the brushing and petting you are willing to give her. Of course the petting and brushing and lap sitting has to be her idea and only her idea when she is in the mood.  Emily loves to play with small toys on a string and and delights in chasing the red laser dot. She craves the company of other cats and will do well in a home where she can be a companion for another cat.  We are looking for an adopter not in a big hurry to bond with her and willing to let the relationship with her happen slowly.  Emily will always have a wild, not totally tame side to her. On the plus side she is very low maintenance.  Trophy cat she is!!!

SAFCC cats are spayed/neutered, current on rabies and vaccinations, dewormed, micro-chipped, and tested for feline aids and leukemia.
