home to roam and a person to call her very own!

That’s what little Fluffy (also known as Flauschie) is dreaming of and waiting for. And if this home even came with a screened-in porch or patio that would be the icing on the cake because she could still enjoy some safe “outdoor” time. But a window view will do just as nicely!

Fluffy is about 3 years old, a petite girl that weighs in at about 7-8 pounds. She has golden eyes and a medium length coat with a fluffy plume of a tail and, being a sensitive and sweet soul, is looking for a calm and quiet environment where she can enjoy a pampered life.

She is a mild-mannered, mellow, affectionate and playful little tortie-tiger that loves people once you have earned her trust. Living in a multi-cat household stresses her out enormously. She says she would prefer not to have to compete with other cats and would like to have her human(s) and their home all to herself!

Her favorite things are watching critters and playing with a feather toy or her little cardboard mice.

Quality time with her very own person is also important to her; she loves to lend a helping hand when you are working on something and she will even interrupt her important activities to come over to touch base with you and be petted.

She needs to be fed a grain free diet and wants you to know she is well worth the effort. She will reward you with a lifetime of loving companionship!

Fluffy asks for a little patience from you since she will be a bit shy in new surroundings for a couple of weeks. But once she warms up and adjusts, she is all yours. If you are ready to be all hers, please call her friend Ulli at 561-738-6729 OR

About Animal Aid, Inc.

About Our Shelter...

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill animal rescue shelter and adoption center. Our shelter takes in emergency, abuse and neglect cases as well as dogs and cats from various (high-kill) animal control agencies in Palm Beach, Dade and Broward Counties in South Florida. We offer cats and dogs for adoption at our adoption center in Oakland Park, FL. We have a spay/neuter clinic in-house and a mobile unit stationed in Boca Raton, FL as well as a sanctuary in Naples, FL. We are a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization which relies solely on donations.

One of our goals is to address the overpopulation problem of stray and feral cats by offering the public low cost spay/neuter program.

Come Meet Our Pets...

You can meet our adoptable pets at our Adoption Center in Oakland Park, FL (call for directions and hours 754-223-5378)

Many of our cats are shown 7 days a week in our cat room inside PetSmart on Sunrise Blvd. (just east of Flamingo) in Plantation, at the Petco at 8111 West Broward Blvd. in Plantation, at the Pet Supply Plus, at 800 Linton Blvd. in Delray, and at the Pet Supply Plus, at 1368 SW 160th Avenue, in Sunrise

Our Adoption Process...

Since our animals were homeless, we wish to ensure that their next home is permanent. To do this, we carefully screen applicants to establish that the needs of both the animal and the adoptive home will be met. A prospective adoptive owner must:

Complete an application for a dog or cat. Our board will review the application to determine if you and the chosen pet are a good match.

Pay an adoption donation. Being a non-profit rescue, we do not "sell" pets. All tax-deductible donations are placed in a fund to care for our animals.

Our adoption donation is:

Puppies/Dogs - $100-$300 includes heartworm, ehrlichia, lyme test, spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, 5 way series of puppy vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, Frontline (de-flea/tick), ear mite treatment, microchip (lifetime implant identification system), vet checkup, and initial grooming.

Kittens - $75.00 includes: Spay or neuter (when old enough), leukemia test, fecal exam, rabies vaccine (when old enough), entire series of kitten vaccines, flea control, both deworming treatments and one vet visit.

Cats - $60.00 includes: Spay or neuter, aids/leukemia test, fecal exam, rabies vaccine, 5-way combo vaccine, flea control and one vet visit.
