Remy's Story...
Introducing Remy. She's a one year old unique blend of Whippet and Collie. Remy lived in the same home for 10 months and was surrendered to Friendship due to a change in her family's lifestyle. Her family did not say anything about her. Since her arrival Remy has been the perfect lady. She would love an active family that would include her in their activities. This cute young girl will need some guidance but with her personality and demeanor she's well on her way to being a great family pet.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remy, a Elyria Whippet/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Collie for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Whippet/Collie dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Collie breeders who help with Whippet/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
