Bella's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Bella's Story...
Bella! Bella! Everywhere I go I hear people calling out, “Bella!” I don‘t know if people are calling me by name or commenting on how beautiful I am! Either way I love being the center of attention! A lady likes to be admired and thought of. I could sure use some TLC at the moment considering my current state of affairs…see I am losing a bit of my hair, and I have skin allergies that need some extra attention. I am on the cusp of starting a whole new life, hopefully with someone who will be able to provide me with great care for the rest of mine. I have lived with other dogs and children, and I even get along with cats. I have a good start on housebreaking, plus I am learning crate training to add to my repertoire, and with reward-based training we can add even more skills to my base set. Admire me for my looks, but fall in love with the heart and the love it has to share. 6 years old-53lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Portland English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter for sale in Portland, or seeking a English Setter dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter breeders who help with English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
