Skye's Story...
Hi, my name is Skye. I am approximately 2 years old. The shelter staff believe I may be a mix of Australian Shepherd and Border Collie, but that is just a guess. I am such a sweet, soft girl! I would be the perfect companion to cozy up with on a cold winter's night. I love to play and go for walks. I have been told that I am an escape artist, so a home with a secure fence is required. Perhaps with enough time, attention, and exercise I would not look to escape. Will you please come to the shelter to meet me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skye, a Chino Valley Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Chino Valley, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Chino Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chino Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chino Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chino Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
