My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruffles is a cute, sweet 3 and 1/2 year old girl who came to us with a pulled muscle. She appears to do fine with small dogs, but is not cat tolerant.

I know that “Ruffles and Flourishes” are played to honor important beings in the United States. My name, Ruffles, clearly indicates that I am at least half way to importance! I’m good with that. I am a petite brindle girl, and I have quite a bit going for me for this next pet stage of my life. I hear that I am well behaved (whatever that is). I’m very friendly and have loved every person I have met. People also mean toys and treats which I’m pretty fond of. They also have this habit of giving pets and belly rubs…Heaven on earth!

I’ve found that outdoors there are adventures and chances to meet many other greyhounds, who I like, and lots of sunshine so that I can snooze and work on my tan. I have been introduced to a cat, and while they are a tad boring, I wagged my tail because I didn’t want to hurt her feelings. (Actually, I wag my tail almost all of the time!) I’m pretty sure that I could live with a cat, though. I have a cozy crate where I can sleep on my back and wave my feet in the air. Who needs a sleep number bed when a crate is so ideally suited to my sleeping style?
