June's Story...
Meet June she is an 8 month old ENGLISH SHEPHERD aka a Farm Collie her adoption fee is $150. She is larger then a border collie or an Australian Shepherd, but has the same mannerisms as a typical collie. If you're looking for a highly intelligent larger puppy June is the gal for you. June needs to be groomed regularly as she is a long haired breed. She is currently residing here at the rescue ranch with 10 other dogs, 2 cats, pigs, chickens/ducks, and horses. June is excellent with children, crate trained, utilizes the dog door and loves one on one time with the couch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

June, a Bakersfield English Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Shepherd for sale in Bakersfield, or seeking a English Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Bakersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Shepherd breeders who help with English Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
