Hi, my name is Pesto.

I am a one and a half year old Whippet mix. I was brought to the shelter because I had developed an attachment to the lady of the house and didn't like others to be around her. This included her husband. He wasn't happy and said I had to go.

To be honest, I am scared of new things and people. I react badly to lots of noise and confusion. That means I would do best in an adult only home or one where the kids would be teenagers. I am not comfortable around other dogs so I need to be the only pet in the house. I am much better with time after meeting new people. That means that I need an owner who will have the patience to work with me and help me get over my fears

My foster mom makes sure that I have my basic needs met, like food and water plus a roof over my head. However, I am longing to find my forever home and a family to love. I have plenty of love to give. Do you have room in your heart and your home for me?? Come and have a meet-n-greet with me.

I am a young lady at heart. I have been checked out by a veterinarian and spayed. I received a set of preventative shots and have been wormed. I have tested negative for heartworms. I have also been microchipped.
