Dixie's Story...
Our newest Houston K-911 rescue! Dixie is Cato's sister and is about 3 months old, and as precious in person as she looks in this picture. Dixie and her two siblings were thrown out of their house and away from their mom and dad when the owners didn't want puppies. They took mom and dad inside the house and kicked the three puppies out of the yard. One of our great volunteers rescued them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Seattle German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Seattle, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
