Chatter's Story...
Chatter is an adorable, shy Tri color Sheltie, 6 years old and will weigh about 20lbs She came to us from an overcrowding situation and needed to find a good home. She is thyroid deficient and is on thyroid medicine along with a specific allergy diet and starting to look so good and happy. She is very shy at first with strangers, but if they stay a while, she will warm up and come over. We have noticed that she runs from men and is scared to death for them to touch her. She loves to play with other dogs and toys and chew on raw bones. She is a sweetheart and loves attention and gives little kisses. We would love Chatter to go to a one or two woman home to spend loving days.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chatter, a Alderson Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Alderson, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Alderson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alderson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alderson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alderson paves the way for another one to be saved.
