My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we first met Tip Top, we were sure we were going to change her name once she became a part of our rescue. However, knowing her story and watching her flourish, we actually think her name is quite fitting. Our little 30lb. pocket Pitbull has risen to the very tip top of life, even after all she has endured and so we've decided her name should stay! Found in an abandoned home with her puppies, Tip Top was taken to a high kill shelter. Her puppies were then rescued by an organization who knew Tip Top was at the shelter but left her behind. While we didn't have a place for TT, we don't believe in any rescue leaving a mom behind so we wanted to find a way to help. Thankfully, the amazing Police Officer that found Tip Top, stepped up to foster her and TT became a Ruff Starter. At approximately 1.5 years, Miss T is one awesome pup. She loves her toys and has a special love/hate relationship with her giggle ball. She has a great energy level and will be a fantastic hiking buddy or jogging partner but will also happily nap, tummy up and allow you the honor of rubbing her belly once she's back home. She is also perfectly housebroken and crate trained and was a playgroup rockstar with other dogs at the shelter, both large and small, but no cats please! Tip Top is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you are interested in continuing to show TT just how wonderful life can be, please fill out an application at ruffstarthappytails.org.
