Roscoe's Story...
These puppies were born in the bushed on the Hermosa Beach walking path to a mom who had been a stray there for at least 6 months that residents are aware of. We also have their mom - but she is a bit shy - so she needs lots of TLC and work. Mom looks like a black Spaniel/Retriever mix and is about 40-45 pounds. The puppies are cute as can be and are sweet, friendly and well socialized - they are now 8 weeks old and looking for wonderful homes of their own. There are 5 girls and 3 boys - and all but one of them is black (we are just posting the picture of one of the black puppies as an example of the other 6). We refer to them as the "R" litter. These puppies will have their first set of vaccinations and be dewormed. The spay/neuter is also included in the adoption fee of $200 and is a required component of the adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a El Segundo Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel for sale in El Segundo, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel puppy from a breeder in El Segundo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Segundo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Segundo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Segundo paves the way for another one to be saved.
