Meet Puppies, a beautiful 13-year-young kitty (she looks like a Russian Blue!). She has short, soft grey fur, beautiful yellow eyes, and a small frame. She is expertly litter trained and has never made a mess in the house. She likes to scratch on her kitty tree or cardboard scratcher, and has used a laundry basket too (not your beautiful sofa), which is okay by us!

Once Puppies likes a person, she is pretty insistent about cuddling. She may take a while to warm up, but once she knows you she loves to play chase with string or feather toys, and hide inside of bags and boxes. She is generally quite calm, and a wonderful companion. She will become very attached to her caregiver(s) and is a terrific communicator. In fact, if she is hungry or wants to go in or out of a room, she will stand by her bowl or by the door and look at you. :) You get the picture.

Puppies loves wet food and also eats kibbles... and she really likes Orijen chicken treats, she loves to lick the bowl after someone eats yogurt, and she likes chips... probably the salt!

To be really happy, Puppies would like to be with a person or people who have time to hang out with her at least a bit each day. She would like to have indoor-outdoor access if the outdoor space is safe and enclosed. Otherwise, indoor is perfect for this beauty. While she’s not a big cat lover, she does pretty well with dogs (if they don't chase her) and kids are fine too, unless they are very rough...probably an only cat situation would be best for her, or a patient household with time for cat introductions.

Would you like to meet Puppies? She’d LOVE to meet you!

Puppies is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

About Jake's Place Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The volunteers at Jake's Place are diverse group of dedicated animal lovers. Some of us have worked in rescue before, some are new to it. Some of us have known each other for years, others more recently involved. Having all come together in the last few years and finding that we had the same passion to help cats, we started thinking about the possibilities of putting our various expertise to work in creating something wonderful. While Jake's Place is a relatively new organization, our work goes back 14 years and our energy and drive is stronger than ever. We are committed to rescuing responsibly, fostering in loving & caring homes and finding the best possible forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

All of us at Jake's Place are committed to helping you find the right cat or kitten for your family situation. You can download our application and contract here on the website. We have our cats and kittens listed with a little biography of each, as well as many photos and a video of each. Feel free to call and ask questions about any of our cats. We would also love to meet you at any of our adoption events or possibly we can arrange a visit with the foster family. This fee helps us to pay for testing (FIV/Leukemia), vaccines, parasite treatment, spay/neuter & microchipping, as well as anything else the cats might need while in our care. Seniors may need blood work or a dental care. Download Application: & Download Agreement:
