Sierra's Story...

Sierra is a Shelter Puppy Dog:
adoption date is 7-14-08 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date, As of this Month this Pooch is still at the shelter in need of rescue

Sierra is around 7 years old, Size: Large 61-100 lbs, is more towards 60-ish pounds. walks on a leash, sits when I asked, appears to be sweet & loving, full of puppy love & fun, loves her walks, pretty well mannered, playful, the kennel attendant said Sierra appears to be house trained, loves children and enjoyed the ride in the car. Her owner turned Sierra over to the shelter because their small dog and Sierra started getting jealous of one another they kept the small dog and turned Sierra over to the shelter. Sierra is a shelter staff & volunteer favorite & is a special dog in need of a family or companion(s) to love. JUST GROOMED which gives Sierra that puppy look, so sweet.

Dawn gave a little test by looking in Sierra's mouth, pulling on her ears and tail, holding her paws and giving little kisses and hugs. Sierra appeared to past the test with no problems, she's a super sweet pup with a lot of fun & love to give her new family. Like all of our shelter dogs, we suggest a well fenced yard for Sierra to play and be safe in. We feel she may make a loyal outstanding & loving family member and companion. If you wish, Sierra can be tested around Dogs & Cats here at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Grass Valley Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
