My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good With Kids: Older kids ideal
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: She likes to chase them
House trained: Almost
Crate Trained: Yes, as long as you give her a treat
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Working on it
Knows Basic Commands: Learning
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate

Arrival story: Jane was surrendered to Waggin Tails.

Approximate Age / Weight: 14 weeks (as of 12/28/15) and 6 lbs.

Personality: Jane is an all-around, good-natured pup! She is playful and loves to fetch, play tug-o-war and wrestle with her foster sister, but after that, she will crawl up in your lap and curl up for some snuggle time. Jane is super sweet and loves everyone she meets!

Jane is working on leash skills, is starting to trust that being in the crate does not mean she'll be left alone forever, and is almost house-trained. You just need to keep an eye on her for her signals. As a puppy, Jane can still be a bit mouthy and learning what things she can chew and what not to.

Jane is good at the vet’s office, on car rides, and pretty much anywhere we take her! It doesn't take long for Jane to adjust to her surroundings.

Forever home: Jane would like to live with a person or family with or without another dog, who will teach her all the good things pups should know to become the well-behaved companion she is meant to be. She is very loving, playful and social! Jane would do great in many different settings.

****Please beware we will only be able to adopt Jane to a family or individual in the Southeast Michigan Area,, thank you****

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
