My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miles is a sweet boy who will make you smile for miles! He is the epitome of a fun, sweet pup. Miles is such a ham and the most amazing snuggler puppy his foster home has ever had! He will make one lucky family the greatest companion and he lives up to his smiling Miles name every day!

He is good at going potty outside but needs encouragement when it rains. He is always watching you with his big beautiful eyes and when allowed will follow you around with his little puppy legs everywhere you go. He has medium energy when playing and then will look for a chew toy or a lap for snuggling. Miles loves to be held and cuddled. He will sleep like a baby in your arms. He has a mini "tank-like" build and almost waddles when he runs. He has never met a dog he does not like. He will play with anyone and if they play too rough he walks away or looks to his Foster Mom for help. He loves to be around people or another pet. He is exceptionally calm for a puppy. Very little nipping or jumping so would likely do well in a home with children.

Miles is a male/n hound-beagle mix born October 2015.

AS WITH ALL YOUNG PUPS, this puppy will need constant supervision when not crated. Puppies will chew and get into trouble as any puppy would. A puppy needs a leader and someone to teach the basics of house training, obedience, and behavior. At the ages of 10-16 weeks, puppies tend to tire easily and take lots of naps. As they get older, they will need more exercise (walks, hikes, playing fetch, etc) to expend their energy and to be happy and healthy.

Don't get us wrong, we love puppies! However, we also want those interested in adopting a wee canine to make a thoughtful decision, be realistic in behavior expectations, and be prepared to provide proper and kind leadership.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $250 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
