Lil' Girl's Story...
Talk about a survivor! This little dog, at only 5 pounds, was found out fending for herself with a hernia the size of a grapefruit hanging from her underside. With the help of a good samaritan who took her in and called the rescue we have since gotten the surgery needed and her spay, shots and microchip so she is ready for a forever home where someone will never let her be alone again. The vet has estimated her to be around 3 years of age, she is a very friendly girl and does very well in the house. If you would like to apply to adopt Lil' Girl, please fill out an application at and we will give you a call.
And again, we thank all of your wonderful dog lovers for helping with the cost of this surgery.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lil' Girl, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
