Honey's Story...
Meet Honey! We can't believe no one has come to adopt this cool girl yet! Honey is a dog with some hidden talents too, that we discovered during our photo shoot (see video). We think Honey may be some sort of Basenji mix and she fits that breed description pretty well- she is SMART, lively and curious. Honey is the kind of dog that would excel with a "job" to do- maybe some training or agility classes for fun? Honey already knows "sit" and "down" AND we discovered that she knows "heel" Honey is a somewhat strong dog and when she got a little too excited and started to pull us on the leash, we stopped and said "Honey heel" and she stopped too! Honey was always alert to her surroundings and looking at us for her next cue. This is one smart lady! Honey is affectionate with her human pals and gets along well with her kennel mate. Bring your dog from home in and we can help you with a meet and greet to make sure everyone does well together prior to adopting.

You can meet 3 yr old Honey is C building at the West Valley Animal Care Center at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx Az. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon-Fri and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat & Sun. Her adoption fee has been sponsored and includes spay, County license and rabies certificate.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Phoenix Basenji/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji/Cattle Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basenji/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Basenji/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
