Wiley's Story...
Here is a beautiful hound named Wiley that is still very much a puppy, approximately 8-10 months in age. He was an owner surrender to a local shelter and we can't figure out why?!?@#! He is super friendly and sweet to everyone he meets. Wiley would be a great buddy to any dog that would like a companion to play with. There wasn't much information provided by the owner on anything unfortunately as far as house manners. We are sure with a good routine, crate training and proper exercise he will do quite well. Since he is so new to us, we will provide updates in a few weeks (unless he is swooped up before then!) Wiley is up to date on medical and neutered. Please complete an application at www.henricohumane.org or visit him at our next adoption stand at Petco 11331 W Broad St between 11am - 2pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wiley, a Richmond Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
