My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy y'all! I am so excited to announce that it will soon be time for me to find my furever family that I am jumping for joy! I have discovered what being a happy healthy loved little girl is all about and I can't wait to share that with my new family! My foster mom has been busy teaching me about something called 'manners.' I guess that means that I am not supposed to go flying across the room, up onto the sofa, and then land on your face with my entire body to give you a kiss,...or something like that? But as I mentioned before, I am just soooo excited-I can hardly contain myself! In my defense, I am also still very young at around 1.5 years old and my inner puppy sneaks out quite frequently! Let's just say it is best to hide your shoes!

Speaking of puppies, did I happen to mention that I have a couple of kids? They are the cutest little nuggets ever and they will soon be weaning, which means I can get the last of my vet care completed. I will spend a few more weeks teaching my babies the sort of 'dog-stuff' that only a mama dog can cover, and then it will be my turn to find a family! I am looking at an early-February'ish move in date if that is okay with you?

Whew- it sure has been an adventure raising these lil' doggies while learning about the life of a pampered pooch at the same time. I was holding back a little but have recently decided to really let my personality shine! I am playing with toys and constantly instigating PLAY TIME with the resident iggies here at my foster home. I try to play with the cat sometimes too, but she is grouchy! I get the zoomies and really love to zip around in the back yard, so I am putting in a request for enough room in my new yard to do a lap or two a few times a day and would just love to have a young frisky and energetic canine companion to play with too. I am petty reliable on potty pads and will also go outside to do my business, but I need reminders on that one! Leash training is coming around, although very much not my favorite thing in the world. I put the brakes on a little too often, especially if I hear or see something sort of scary.

All in all, I am really figuring out that humans are pretty darn neat. I still get a little spooked if someone moves too fast or gets too loud and will retreat to my kennel as quickly as my little legs can carry me. But as soon as I am feeling comfy, out I come to see you again! Yippee!
