Odie's Story...
Hi, I'm Odie and I was born on November 5, 2015 to Emma, a 14 pound Dachshund. My Dad is a 10 pound, senior mutt who looks like a Chihuahua with a long back and short legs, so he likely has doxie in him, too. I live with a 5 year old boy and have been socialized around a number of adults, also. I enjoy untying your shoelaces, playing with my three siblings, gnawing bones and sleeping. The first 3 photos of me were taken at 6 weeks and the 4th at 3 weeks. My $250 adoption donation includes neutering, 3 basic vaccines, rabies vaccine and a microchip. For more info, call or text Diane at (925) 209-6480 or leave a message at (623) 587-9119 or email Diane@TArescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Odie, a Phoenix Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
