Facts about Willie

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Black (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Willie is a hefty boy, all black except for a good size white belly patch. He was very sick when he was tiny with a very bad eye infection. It left one eye slightly squinty, but other than that he doesn't have a problem. He was named One Eyed Willie, can you guess the movie? We just call him Willie. He is a real sweet snuggle and play buddy. He loves other kitties, but is scared of smaller kids and will hide.

About Feline Urgent Rescue of Western North Carolina

About Our Rescue Group...

As guardians of displaced felines, our mission is to provide a safe haven for cats, thereby reducing the homeless population, the shelter euthanasia rates, and by filling a gap in the rescue community as a last resort sanctuary.

Our group consists solely of volunteers who share the passion for helping homeless cats to find loving homes, providing compassionate care to unadoptable cats, and assisting feral colonies and their caretakers with food, shelter and medical needs.

Our Adoption Process...

Please call or email us to schedule an appointment to meet or adopt a kitty you see on our adoption list. Because we are an all-volunteer crew, we're sorry, but walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Applications can be found on our website, if you want to fill one out before you arrive. The adoption fee is $35 per cat, and all collected fees are spent on rescuing, caring for and re-homing community cats.
