My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RUFFLES has ridges! Lots and lots of ridges! This poor 6 yr old sweetheart was abandoned at a local shelter after being attacked by another dog. RUFFLES' injuries were so bad in fact, it was hard to tell if her labored breathing was a result of being shaken by the neck, or because RUFFLES is Sooo. Shockingly. OBESE!! She weighed in at a whopping 9.2 lbs on what should be a 5 lbs frame! Her back legs could barely hold up under the weight, and she could only take a few steps before they just gave up! RUFFLES turned her nose up at kibble as if it was an alien substance, reinforcing our guess that human street food was all she'd been fed, so we got busy! RUFFLES is on a strict diet which she now seems to enjoy! Careful not to make it a starvation diet, we were surprised when she dropped a whole pound the first 10 days!! WOW!!! After 5 more days she proudly weighed in at 7.9 lbs. RUFFLES even *ran* across the living room! The effect has been transforming - to body and soul - she is a happier, brighter version of herself. RUFFLES has more weight to lose and needs a family willing to help her. Are you a good cheerleader?
