You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Lynn ( for more information about this pet.
All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff.  If you have questions concerning a specific animal,  PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch.  We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed.  Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments.  Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants.  The adopter will be chosen at that time.  The process can take anywhere from a week to a month.  We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!

My name is Buggs.  I was given up with Buddy by my dad when he said he couldn't take care of us anymore :(  He didn't find us good homes, instead he dropped us off at the high kill shelter and it was SCARY!!!  Everyone looked at us with sad eyes and whispers and some would shake their head and say 'those guys will never get out'  I didn't know what that meant but from their faces I didn't think it was good :(

Then the kind shelter lady scooped up me and Buddy and said 'don't worry, 2nd Chance will take you I just know it' and the rest is history!  They did and we live with our foster mom & dad and other fur buddies that are waiting for their forever homes too.  I'm told I am old but my mom says she finds that hard to believe because I play like a teenager and then she laughs so that must be a good thing :)

People are very nice and they send us things through Amazon and mom says this came from.... and opens the package and then we all get to play with it if it is a toy or if it is a bed whoever needs a new one gets it or its in the living room and any of us can lay in it which is pretty nice :)  Thank you for taking the time to read my story and maybe we will meet some day :)

Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to  families with children under the age of 5.  We do not adopt dogs to renters.  Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.

A pet is a lifetime commitment.  The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners.  We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.  Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!

About 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is a foster network. Our goal is to find our precious little ones their "forever families" where they will live out the rest of their lives. Your dog is a part of your family and should be treated as such. You don't give away your children and neither should your loyal pet be dispensable!
All our dogs must be altered before adoption. Spay/Neuter is the only way to stop the senseless overpopulation we have now. Our hope is one day with education we will live in a society where shelters are not a necessity and no animal will die just for lack of space!
