Rudy is a sweet old man who lost his home due to financial hardships and the family re-homing. He craves attention and loves to just hang out around his person, hoping to find his new pack leader. Nothing would make him happier than to lie at your feet while you watch tv or work at the computer or putter around in the garage. Rudy does not like to be outside much at all. Even when his foster dad is working outside, Rudy is at the door begging to come back in. Rudy is a good walking companion, he is not one to pull you down the road, and he does like to ride in the car (and occasionally stop at McDonald's for a cheeseburger:).
Rudy has some health issues but none that are causing him any symptoms or issues at this time. A retirement home for his golden years is exactly what he needs; a quiet home with no other pets and no children would be perfect for Rudy.
If you would like more information about Rudy, or to speak to his foster mom, please call Helping Strays at (618) 939-7389. You can also fill out an online adoption form at helpingstrays.org
Thank you!

About Helping Strays of Monroe County

About Our Shelter...

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
