Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gus is a sweet, loving dog looking for a nice place to retire. Gus was found sniffing through the yards of a neighborhood in Spring Branch after being abandoned by his previous owner.
Gus is house trained and has completed obedience training. He is very food driven and can be taught to do anything when there is a treat involved. He also loves squeaker toys!! He will play for hours throwing his favorite stuffed duck around and then spend another few hours attempting to “fix” the squeaker. Gus also loves to sunbathe outside. After he is familiar with the local smells, he will lay in the back yard and just take in the rays. Unfortunately Gus does not like to share his toys and treats with other dogs and prefers to be an only fur baby.
Gus also suffers from occasional arthritis flare ups but he does not let this get him down. He is easily treated with anti-inflammatory medication and after a couple of days is ready to resume his normal activity. Gus also has a small lump, or as we like to call it, a beauty mark on his back that is completely benign. He very much enjoys car rides and sticking his head out of the window for some fresh air. He also loves his walks and likes to test your leash abilities.
Overall, Gus is a sweet Ol’ boy and loves to be loved. He is happy to see you when you come home and will snuggle in his dog bed next you at night. Give this little old man a chance to make you happy.
