This is Rocky, a 7 year old black lab who is a victim of getting lost in the system because he was a black dog with little extra pizzaz that some prettier dogs have. He was in a rescue’s foster system for 7 years….started as a puppy. Long story was that he went to a rescue up north and he panicked during transport. They kept him for over 1 month up there in New England and then decided he was too shy for them and sent him back on transport to Tennessee. He does not like long car rides in a van. From there he went to 2 other fosters. One of whom was crazy….she would shoot guns off her porch to quiet the dogs. Then, he came to a final place that just held on to him and loving him out of his shyness. It is now time for Rocky to claim his own special family or human that offer him a devotion and love and future all his own. He was posted in another part of TN and no one ever stepped up for him. Pictures were not good and bad pictures for a black lab are the kiss of death and no adoption interest. So CCR has sent in the best photographer to capture his beauty and charm. This boy is totally cool and great at the foster home. Gets along will other dogs and cats. Nervous about meeting strange people but warms up after 3 days. He is leash trained and has spent time in a crate without problems. Let’s see if someone would love at 7 year old 50 pound handsome spirit of a dog.
