Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Peanut. I am a 1 y/r Chihuahua/terrier mix and a real cutie. I am just up from a southern Indiana high kill shelter. My elderly owner had to give me up because she could no longer care for me. Her neighbor agreed to give me a home but after only a week I was turned over to the high kill shelter. There I was put in foster care but my foster mom worked long hours so I was in the basement with the other dogs and not around people very much. So it was decided that it would be best if I made the trip up to Illinois. I am so scared and timid right now not knowing what will happen to me. However I am now in a foster home with loving parents and siblings. I go on walks every day and now am getting used to that. At first I did not understand what I was to do with the leash around my neck. I am meeting new people every day and I am slowly coming out of my shell. I sit on the sofa with my foster mom and do love it. I am crate trained and have not had any accidents in the house. I am hoping to find a loving family who will take of me forever. I am fully vetted and altered. The fee for my adoption is $200. If you think you would be willing to take care of me please give my foster mom, Carol at 630-554-3749. I am looking forward to meeting you. And I am not a barker!! I also get along with cats.
