Sugar is as sweet as his name! Although his mom died and her children couldn't keep him, Sugar is very much a family boy. When he came to our home, he was stressed from the kennel environment and in desperate need of grooming. As soon as he got in our car, he quickly relaxed, and once home, he was happy to sit for over an hour of grooming. He is now a soft and fluffy 60 pound bundle of love. He really enjoys snuggling on the couch to watch tv with his foster family, going on walks as often as possible, and running around in the back yard. He is a loving, kind 5 year-old chow chow mix who would love to be a permanent part of a family again. If you have a big back yard and want a teddy bear filled with unconditional love, Sugar is the boy for you!
Sugar is currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive!, and is in a foster home. By adopting him, you not only give him a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care.
If you are interested in adopting, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with Pet name and ID#. Please allow us up to 24 hours to respond as all fosters work with us on a volunteer basis.
